On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at 5:02 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant related to a shooting that damaged a vehicle in the Rock Creek community in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 16.

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report that a high school teacher had sent sexually explicit photos and videos to an underage student. A detective was immediately assigned to follow up.

On Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 4:12 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies serving the City of Cornelius responded to an injury traffic crash at the intersection of South 12th Street and South Dogwood Street.

On Friday, January 4, 2019, at 4:59 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an injury crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle near SW 185th Avenue and SW Farmington Road in Aloha.

<br />On November 14, 2018, at 5:23 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue (TVF&R) responded to a fire at an apartment at the Westridge Meadows apartments at 18476 NW Chemeketa Lane in Bethany.

On October 15, a concerned family member contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office regarding a relative who had not been seen for about a month. Detectives were assigned to investigate and are asking for the public’s help to locate her.

Results from the Sheriff’s Office extended impaired driving enhanced patrol from December 12, 2014, through January 3, 2015. During that time, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 77 impaired drivers.

On Saturday December 27, 2014, Washington County Detectives arrested a Hillsboro man who was downloading child pornography while using free WiFi at a local business. He has a previous conviction for the same type of crime.

Washington County deputies responded to the home of a Cedar Mill woman who is a Project Lifesaver participant. She suffers from Alzheimers and had wandered away from her home. She was found a short time later.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office now offers the Help Me Home program, a proactive approach to better serving residents who have difficulty communicating due to disability and who are at risk of wandering away from home.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an injury crash involving two vehicles on SW Tonquin Road near Sherwood. Upon arrival, deputies located a Ford pick up and a Subaru that had crashed head on.

Two people lost their lives in a “T-bone” crash in rural Washington County. A man and a woman were killed when their car ran a stop sign and was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Highway 219, south of Hillsboro.

Brett Church Michie pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse charges, receiving a 300-month prison sentence. He was caught sharing and possessing child sexual abuse materials, including images of his own abuse.

A deputy stopped and arrested a 19-year-old driver after he was driving 176 MPH on Interstate 5 near Hwy 217.
