On May 1, 2024, a deputy serving the City of North Plains took a report of a theft of construction equipment that occurred near NW Commercial St and NW 311th Ave.

On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 2:04 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on SW River Rd, South of SW Farmington Rd. A single vehicle had left the road and struck a tree.

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a sting to catch Ronald Bocca, 57 of Otis. Mr. Bocca misled and elderly female by defrauding her of several hundred dollars worth of gold jewelry.

On Sunday, June 16, 2019, at 7:50 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the report of an attempted child abduction in the 15600 block of SW Blanton Street in Aloha. Detectives have released the attached composite sketch of the suspect.

On Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 2:28 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm activation from a bait package deployed by detectives at a residence in the area of West Baseline Road and Southwest 170th Avenue in Aloha.

Over the past several days, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies have taken multiple reports of animal abuse in and around the King Village Mobile Home Park at 12450 SW Fischer Road near Tigard and King City.

The man who was reported as missing endangered on Wednesday, John Jackson, was located around 10 p.m. yesterday evening by a family member. He was found to be in good health. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank the public and media for their assistance.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Oregon Department of Transportation, and Oregon State Sheriff's Association, will be conducting high visibility enforcement patrols looking for impaired drivers during the entire month of August.

Between Friday, May 25 and Monday, May 28, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 18 impaired drivers. Deputies would like to remind the public that impaired driving is a preventable offense and to always designate a sober driver.

April 18, 2014—The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and local police agencies have received complaints from citizens concerning a warrant payment scam. The subject would ask for a payoff to avoid arresting the person that supposedly had the warrant.

Sheriff’s Deputies received information to lead them to believe that Rafael Abinacer, 41, of Hillsboro had inappropriate sexual contact with a girl less than 14 years of age. He was arrested and lodged in the Washington County Jail on several charges.

This is an update to a press release the Sheriff’s Office released on November 30, 2012. Today, at about 5:00 p.m., Denise Keesee, 38, turned herself into the Washington County Jail. She was charged with six counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree.

After conducting a national search, receiving proposals from five vendors, and conducting a thorough evaluation, Polis was awarded the $149,700 contract. Under the contract, Polis will thoroughly review all elements of WCSO operations and administration related to the use of force.

Late yesterday, a community member saw the photo of the bank robber on a local news story and informed deputies that he was staying at a hotel in Forest Grove. Deputies contacted the person at the hotel and arrested him.

On September 21, 2023, at 9:15 pm, an armed male carrying a revolver committed a robbery at the Arco station located at 9560 Northwest Glencoe Road in Hillsboro.
