Washington County election officials are reminding residents to register to vote or update their voter information ahead of the October 14, 2025, deadline.

Thank you, Washington County urban unincorporated voters, for continuing with enhanced police services provided through the Enhanced Sheriff’s Patrol District (ESPD). Your ongoing support ensures we have the funding necessary to keep our communities safe through rapid response to emergency calls, services on par with nearby cities, and resources for those experiencing homelessness, mental health crises, or substance abuse issues. Washington County Board of Commissioners adopt ordinance to change boundaries of commissioner districts following a 10-month reapportionment process.

Housing Authority Receives Authorization to Negotiate with Woodspring Owner to Preserve Affordable Housing

Community members in unincorporated Washington County who live at or below 185% of the federal poverty level – $51,338 per year for a household of four – can have their garbage and recycling bills cut by 75%.

A final plan has been selected in the commissioner district reapportionment process. A first hearing of the draft ordinance will be held in November.

The proposed fiscal year 2023-24 budget closes a $25.3 million gap in the general fund through a combination of targeted and organization-wide reductions. No layoffs or furlough days were required to achieve budget balance.

On Saturday, May 21, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office Foundation, will hold the 15th Annual Washington County K9 Trials at Hillsboro Stadium. This is Oregon’s premier police K9 competition, where K9 units from throughout the region compete for the coveted prize of “Top Dog.” The event was postponed for two years due to COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
