Washington County is the only organization in Oregon and one of just three in the Pacific Northwest to receive a grant through this initiative.

Washington County is offering a $250 incentive to residents who turn in their old, uncertified wood stoves or wood stove inserts or those certified between 1986-1992. Only 40 stoves/inserts will be accepted at this one-day event.

Washington County is working to implement improved evidence based decision making throughout the juvenile justice system with technical assistance from Georgetown University’s Center for Juvenile Justice Reform.

Marie Boman-Davis, Ph.D., MPH, MCHES has been promoted to manager of Washington County Public Health. Boman-Davis joined Washington County in October 2020 as part of the county’s COVID-19 response, serving as an epidemiology data and quality assurance supervisor.

Adults in Washington County who received their vaccination before June 27 were eligible for one of 10 $10,000 lottery prizes. Kids ages 12-17 who received their first vaccination by June 27 were eligible for one of five $20,000 college scholarships through the Oregon College Savings Plan.
