Throughout April, the Washington County Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Team joins with Washington County leaders and community-based organizations to honor National Child Abuse Prevention Month. To recognize this important observance, our office coordinates and participates in various events with our partners to promote the help and resources available to victims while educating and informing our community on the significance of these valuable awareness efforts. Please view our calendar which is available both in English and Spanish, for a full list of events scheduled for April.
We also join our partners every year to plant a Pinwheels for Prevention garden at the courthouse. The pinwheels used throughout the Pinwheels for Prevention™ campaign represent the health and happiness children deserve. Community members are welcome to join us as we plant these pinwheels on April 10, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
