The Victim Assistance Program is a unit within the District Attorney's Office that supports crime victims as their case moves through the criminal justice process. The program's goal is to provide victims with assistance, services, and information about resources; to promote participation in the criminal justice system by educating victims about their rights; to advocate for the enforcement of these rights; and to coordinate with other community agencies to ensure continuity of support for victims.
