A jury convicted Rafael Abinacer of multiple crimes related to his sexual abuse of a minor. He was originally convicted in 2014, but the case had to be retried due to the non-unanimous jury decision (11-1).

Kevin Lee has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and ordered to pay $23,000 in restitution after his crime spree spanning six separate scenes from Beaverton to Tigard.

Caleb Spurlock terrorized Forest Grove residents by shooting out car windows with a sophisticated slingshot loaded with metal ball bearings. He has been sentenced to 22 months in prison.

Edwin O Hernandez-Rodriguez has been sentenced to more than 25 years in prison after a jury trial. The defendant was indicted in 2014 but fled the state until he was apprehended in 2023.

James Leland Tijerina has been sentenced to 570 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges stemming from two separate cases.

A Washington County jury found Steven Neil Milner guilty of murder in the second degree, stalking, and violating a court’s stalking protective order (seven counts). He was later sentenced to life in prison.

Ryan James Darby pleaded guilty to bias crime in the first degree, felony assault in the fourth degree, and unlawful use of a weapon. He was sentenced to 60 months in prison.

The Washington County District Attorney’s Office has been approved for a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts’ (NEA) Grants for Arts Projects program. This will support the design and creation of a sculpture honoring crime victims.

Mason Isaiah Dominguez, age 25, pleaded guilty to attempted using child in display of sexually explicit conduct, and two counts of luring a minor. The former student teacher was sentenced to three years in prison.

Calvin Smith was convicted of promoting prostitution and sentenced to five years for arranging and transporting a woman for sex. This was a result of an undercover operation targeting human trafficking.

Jimmy Pierce was convicted of second-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder after a 2017 nightclub shooting. Evidence included ballistics, DNA, and cell phone data linking Pierce to the crime. Sentencing is scheduled for January 2, 2025.

Brian Henning received a 35-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to sexually abusing three minors in Oregon. Evidence included victim accounts, recordings, and digital forensics, leading to his arrest.

Billy Eugene Brown, 64, was found guilty of robbery and other charges after stealing from Home Depot and brandishing a firearm. He has a long criminal history and will be sentenced December 20.
