Crime victims have rights throughout the criminal justice process, such as the right to restitution and to be notified in advance of sentencing or critical stages of the case. The Victim Assistance Program's advocates and volunteers inform victims of their rights at the beginning of every case, and assist victims in enforcing them.
Victims may review and invoke their rights by completing the Victims' Rights Request Form and or by calling an advocate at 503-846-8314. Completed forms can be sent to the following address:
Washington County DA's Office
Attn: Victim's Assistance
150 N. First Ave. Suite 300
Hillsboro, OR 97124
Additional information about crime victims’ rights in Oregon and downloadable victims’ rights brochures can be found on the Oregon Department of Justice Crime Victim and Survivor Services website.
